Visible bug : Prism on Linux is still locked on Fx3.0 renderer
By Da Scritch on Jan 11, 2010
My system is Win XP SP3.
Iinstalled 1.0b3pre(Prism Standalone Version) as overwriting in C:\Program Files\Prism.
I have used perhaps gecko 1.9.0 one same as Firefox 3.0.
When I clicked short cut icons, it displayed an error message;
“Runtime Error!
Prpgram: \Program Files\Prism\prosm.exe
P6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the applications support team for more information.”
So I deleted all files under Prism folder, and reinstalled there. But the same error displayed.
do I need some settings?

Hi Matt
Will there be a build for Linux. I’d like to see if it works on Ubuntu 8.04.
Thanks!

3.6a1pre
isn’t Firefox 3.6 at RC stage by now?
By Jens on Jan 12, 2010
Linux version – yes, I need to fire up Linux and build it. Will do so over the next couple of days.
Firefox 3.6 – good point, I’ll update my tree before I make the final 1.0b3 builds.

Hmm… Version for Firefox identified as 1.0b2… What’s the problem?
By Troy on Jan 12, 2010
Ah, I didn’t update the extension version. I’ll see if I can get it to use the version number from the main app to avoid problems in the future.

Linux build, please! I write about browsers for Linux Magazine, would love to be able to feature Prism this week…

This looks shady. Why don’t you just link to the download on the official Mozilla server?

Is there any updated interface documentation available (for nsIPlatformGlue.idl etc.)?
By Mario Rasch on Jan 19, 2010
Not at present. If anyone wants to take a crack at it, I’m happy to review.
By Matthew Gertner on Jan 20, 2010
O.K., no problem – i.e. learning by doing.
Perhaps I’ll have a documentation after that.
I just adapted our website to run with Prism 1.0b3pre standalone and I am really impressed so far. The problems I had with 1.0b2 are all resolved so far – many thanks for this!
Yet, I discovered a problem: while our app runs well using Prism 1.0b3 standalone Windows version, the same app crashes using Prism 1.0b3 standalone on a Mac. I can post a crashlog somewhere if you are interested?
By Mario Rasch on Jan 20, 2010
Definitely! If you can provide any info about where it is crashing and/or how to reproduce the problem, that would be very helpful. I have to admit shamefacedly that I haven’t moved over my own Prism apps (on Mac) to 1.0b3pre yet, but I will do so tomorrow, and perhaps I’ll be able to reproduce any issues myself.

After upgrade, minimize, maximize and close buttons stopped working (Windows Vista, Firefox 3.5.7).
