A narrative on the future of web browsers and web browsing

Mozilla Prism 0.9.1 (Experimental) Now Available

July 10, 2008 – 10:44 am

I’m finally back from my longest vacation since college (which was a while ago, believe me), which coincided with an equally long blogging hiatus. Don’t worry, I’ll be ramping up now to my normal sluggish blogging rhythm.

In the meantime, I’ve created some new Prism builds for those who want to play with the latest, greatest version. The main difference between these and the previous builds I posted is that I’ve fixed the icky regprot.exe problem and bumped the version numbers for the standalone package (to 0.9.1) and Firefox extension (to 0.2.1). As always, please execute caution when using these builds, as they haven’t been thoroughly tested.

If you find a bug, there are two ways to report it: by filing a bug in Bugzilla (if you are interested in seeing it fixed at some point) or any other way (if you aren’t).

  3. Any chance of Greasemonkey playing nice with Prism? Is there documentation on what Firefox extensions work with Prism?

  4. I don’t believe there’s any official information currently about using extensions with Prism. Greasemonkey would almost certainly require non-trivial adaptation, however, since Prism chrome is different from Firefox chrome.

That said, we’ve discussed implementing some sort of integration with Greasemonkey right out of the box.
